Therapy should feel empowering, collaborative, and deeply personal. I believe in exploring and building on your strengths to help you develop lifelong resiliency. Together, we’ll create practical tools to navigate challenges and better understand how your unique life experiences have shaped you—both mentally and physically. Central to my work is the mind-body connection, which I see as the foundation for thriving in life. When our minds and bodies work together harmoniously, we’re able to step into our fullest potential.
I also understand that external systems—social, political, and economic—can deeply affect our sense of self. These forces often leave us feeling out of sync, misunderstood, or alone. My role is to help you navigate and make sense of these impacts while fostering a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported. Therapy with me is a space to reconnect with your authentic self, explore your values, and develop the skills to move beyond your comfort zone at your own pace.

"You can cure without healing, and you can heal without curing." — Lissa Rankin
Our bodies hold our stories, and the mind-body connection is profound. Mental health challenges, chronic pain, and suffering can manifest both physically and emotionally. My approach focuses on strengthening the alliance between your mind and body. We'll work together to improve your self-compassion and offer yourself unconditional love by exploring behavior changes, enhancing relationships, and finding community. This holistic healing is about becoming whole, rather than just seeking a cure.
I take a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach grounded in unconditional positive regard and empathy. I utilize evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness techniques. These tools can help you understand yourself more deeply and build resilience. My goal is for you to look forward to therapy and feel supported long after our time together has ended.

In 2022, I experienced a severe mountain biking accident that led to traumatic injuries and significant changes to my body. I developed chronic pain and struggled daily to return to my professional and physical routines. Traditional therapies provided only temporary relief, and despite my unwavering desire to feel normal again, I was overwhelmed by physical and mental pain.
Amidst this challenge, I began a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and became fascinated with the mind-body connection, especially how trauma is held within us. I started pain psychotherapy, and within five sessions, the pain I thought I'd live with forever began to fade, leading to a pain-free baseline.
This transformative experience shaped my understanding of how our past impacts our present and reinforced my commitment to helping others heal physically and mentally. As a member of the LGBTQ2S+ community, I strive to break down barriers and offer support to those who feel out of sync with themselves. My personal journey with adversity guides me as a therapist to help clients understand their identities and find wholeness.

I’ve always found joy and grounding in nature. Growing up on Canada’s west coast, I’m happiest mountain biking through lush rainforests, skiing in the winter, or exploring the unending backcountry. In Victoria, BC, I spend time walking my dog Remy along the beach, swimming and paddleboarding in the ocean, and growing vegetables in my small garden.
I also run a mountain bike coaching business focused on breaking barriers in the sport and increasing diversity, particularly for women and LGBTQ2S+ riders. Volunteering as the head coach for a local high school team, I believe strongly in helping others build communities that foster lifelong hobbies and connections.
On quieter days, I’m often reading, trying new skills, or reminding myself of my personal mantra: “Sucking at something is the first step to being sorta good at something.” This quote encourages me to approach life with humor, optimism, and self-compassion—values I bring into my work with clients.
