  • Merging clinical expertise with personal insights, I offer a distinctive, holistic therapy experience as a neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+-affirming counselor. My approach harnesses imagination and intuition, enhanced by specialized training in trauma therapy, yoga, and meditation, to help clients navigate their challenges and develop personal strengths.

Motivated by a desire to improve counseling practices, I became a therapist to address the limitations of reductive approaches that can lead to misdiagnosis and misinterpretation. I'm committed to incorporating comprehensive context when addressing concerns, believing that therapy should empower clients to navigate challenges in ways that work best for them.

By focusing on strengths, we work towards positive therapeutic experiences and lasting outcomes. My personal journey of growth and healing informs my practice, motivating me to support others—especially those from marginalized and traumatized backgrounds—in developing resilience, self-understanding, and empowerment.

  • My therapeutic style is rooted in a humanistic orientation, emphasizing the importance of understanding your full context to provide the most effective support. I create a safe environment by allowing ample space for you to share your experiences, thoughts, and feelings.

In our sessions, I employ an integrative approach that combines:

    1. Person-centered therapy

    2. Trauma-informed care

    3. Mindfulness-based techniques

    4. Cognitive-behavioral strategies

As someone who loves to learn and ask questions, I'm genuinely excited to understand your unique perspective. This curiosity drives me to look deeply into behaviors and challenges, always with the intention of facilitating healing and growth.

My approach is non-hierarchical and informal. I strive to meet you where you are, supporting you in your journey towards self-acceptance or personal change – whichever aligns with your goals. Together, we'll navigate your path forward, whether that means comfortably accepting yourself as you are or working on aspects you'd like to change.

    In practice, this means:

    • Active, empathetic listening without judgment

    • Open-ended questions to deepen understanding

    • Tailored interventions based on your unique needs and preferences

    • Regular check-ins to ensure we're aligned in our goals

Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, my approach adapts to your specific situation, always honoring your individuality and personal values.

  • My path to psychotherapy began at 19 when a personal misdiagnosis sparked a deep dive into mental health. As I sought the correct diagnosis, my passion for the field blossomed, teaching me to understand my needs and how to live more expansively as a neurodivergent individual.

Throughout my life, I've faced numerous challenges--including trauma, domestic violence, and addiction. These experiences have given me profound insights into how traumas of all types, neurodivergence, or holding any marginalized identity, can lead to additional difficulties. This understanding informs my approach to therapy, allowing me to offer empathetic and informed support to clients facing similar challenges.

My journey took an extraordinary turn when I spent two months undercover in a cult, studying abusive methods and witnessing the effects of coercive control. This experience deepened my understanding of trauma's causes and effects, particularly how people can be mistreated without realizing it. It reinforced my commitment to providing a safe space for discovery and healing.

Having immigrant parents has given me unique insights into the varied challenges faced by different cultures. This perspective enriches my approach to therapy, allowing me to better understand and support clients from diverse backgrounds.

My work is fueled by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, which enhances my ability to support clients and provides personal fulfillment. As a neurodivergent therapist, I'm proud to contribute to the crucial representation of neurodiversity in the mental health field.

One of the most significant lessons I've learned is that being strong enough to handle something doesn't mean we should have to endure it. Everyone deserves better. This belief drives my commitment to helping others navigate their own paths to self-acceptance and authentic living.

  • My focus areas include working with individuals regardless of diagnosis status, including:

    • Autism and ADHD

    • Addictions

    • Trauma-related issues (including domestic violence, sexual assault, and PTSD)

    • Cult (high control/high demand group) recovery

    • Anxiety and depression

    • Personality disorders (narcissistic, borderline, and histrionic)

I specialize in humanistic, person-centered, somatic, and reality therapy, yet I adapt my approach to best suit each client's unique needs. Offering both individual and group counseling, my humanistic and person-centered orientation ensures a supportive and empathetic environment.

My practice is particularly attuned to serving:

    • Neurodivergent individuals

    • LGBTQIA+ community members

    • Trauma survivors

I work with both adolescents and adults, providing a safe space for exploration, healing, and growth.

    • Bachelor of Arts with emphasis in Clinical Psychology, Evergreen State College

    • Current Master of Arts candidate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Antioch University New England

    • Certified Trauma Counselor

    • 500-hour Yoga and Meditation Teaching Certificate

My educational journey reflects my commitment to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care. The foundation laid by my bachelor's degree in clinical psychology is being further solidified through my ongoing master's studies in clinical mental health counseling.

A pivotal experience in my training was my internship at a domestic violence shelter, offering invaluable insights into the various manifestations of trauma and enhancing my ability to provide empathetic, informed support to survivors.

My certification in trauma counseling equips me with specialized skills to assist clients who have experienced significant distress. This training allows me to offer targeted interventions and support tailored to the unique needs of trauma survivors.

Complementing my psychological training, the 500-hour yoga and meditation teaching certificate enables me to integrate holistic practices into my therapeutic approach. This mind-body connection can be particularly beneficial for clients dealing with stress, anxiety, and trauma-related issues.

This diverse educational background allows me to offer a well-rounded, compassionate approach to therapy, addressing both mental and physical well-being. By combining academic knowledge, practical experience, and holistic techniques, I strive to provide comprehensive care that supports each client's unique journey towards healing and growth.

  • Laughter with friends is my ultimate form of therapy and favorite pastime. I find joy and rejuvenation in practicing yoga, immersing myself in music, continuous learning, meditation, and embracing the outdoors. These activities not only bring me happiness but also make life more manageable and fulfilling.

My favorite song lyric, "Everything you lose is a step you take," serves as a personal mantra, reminding me to view challenges as opportunities for growth rather than obstacles. This perspective fuels my passion for exploring life's mysteries and delving deeper into the 'why' behind human behavior and experiences.

I've had many friends who have experienced personality disorders and I have appreciation for the skills they needed to develop to get their needs met.

These diverse interests and life experiences shape my therapeutic approach, fostering empathy, resourcefulness, and a genuine curiosity about each client's unique journey. I bring this blend of personal insight and professional knowledge to every therapy session, creating a space where authenticity, growth, and healing can flourish.
