  • Drawing from personal experiences with adversity, trauma, and healing, I bring a unique blend of empathy, resilience, and multicultural understanding to our work. This journey shapes my professional path and fuels my passion for supporting others in their self-discovery and growth.

I create a safe, non-judgmental space for collaborative exploration at your pace. My approach integrates talk therapies with mindfulness and somatic techniques, avoiding impersonal or ineffective methods. Instead of dwelling on painful memories, we build a strong therapeutic relationship fostering genuine self-understanding and lasting change.

Whether you're facing trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, or seeking personal growth, I'm here to support you. Our introspective sessions use mindfulness to connect you with your body's emotional responses, opening a unique healing path to ease pain and overcome stress effectively.

Valuing diversity, I strive to create a nurturing environment where you feel truly cared for. My authentic presence helps you rediscover your strength and inner resilience. Together, we'll tackle life's challenges, cultivating tools and insights to overcome obstacles and foster well-being.

Healing isn't just my profession—it's my personal journey too. Let's embark on this path together, at your comfort level, towards a more fulfilling life. I'm committed to supporting you in overcoming challenges, just as I've learned to do, creating a unique path for your healing and personal development.

  • My approach challenges conventional mental health stigmas and cultural norms. I see beyond labels, even when diagnoses are present. To me, diagnoses are fluid milestones, not fixed identities—they're tools to help you reach your goals, not define you.

I listen deeply, not just to your words, but to the energy behind them. Often, how you say something reveals more than what you say. This attunement allows me to connect authentically with both the content and manner of your communication.

I blend traditional talk therapy with mindfulness and somatic techniques, creating a space for self-observation and fresh perspectives. This integration provides opportunities for gaining new insights and understanding. Some of our most profound experiences can occur when your body and mind find harmony and balance.

My process is designed to help you navigate your journey of self-discovery and growth, using a combination of evidence-based practices and holistic methods tailored to your unique needs and goals.

  • My life experiences have required me to navigate complex identity issues and power dynamics in family, social, and individual contexts. I understand the challenge of recognizing one's strengths, especially when developmental years were marked by trauma. I've personally experienced hopelessness, housing insecurity, suffering, fear, and despair. Despite encounters with dissociation and pain, I've maintained my emotional integrity and found hope – a hope I now bring to my clients.

I'm proud of my struggles, particularly when I can use them to support others facing their own challenges. Survival taught me strength and resilience through self-care, reflection, and hard work. I have special empathy for those who feel stuck, struggle to grow, or are in pain.

I'm wary of therapists who present themselves as infallible experts. Humility has been key to my safety and growth. I'm acutely aware of power dynamics in counseling and strive to create an equal, respectful relationship with my clients. I want you to know that I'm not above or below you – we're on this journey together.

My approach has been enriched by Eastern philosophies and diverse cultural methodologies. My interests span culture, art, systemic injustice, and the origins of people and their worldviews. These insights, combined with lessons from street life, have shaped my unique perspective and approach to therapy.

In sharing my story, I hope to convey that change is possible. I've walked a path similar to many of my clients, and I'm committed to using my experiences and training to support you in your journey towards healing and growth.

  • Nature is my sanctuary - I find peace hiking trails and breathing in the salty air of the Pacific coast. When I'm not outdoors, you'll likely find me surrounded by my eclectic collection of contemporary art, pop culture memorabilia, comics, figurines, and books. I'm an avid reader, always seeking both enjoyment and personal growth through literature.

Lately, I've been captivated by Jean-Michel Basquiat's raw, expressive art. I love getting my hands dirty with sculpture, losing myself in video games, or letting my creativity flow through painting. For me, play isn't just for kids - it's essential for the soul.

My passion lies in understanding people and cultures. I thrive on learning diverse perspectives, each one enriching my worldview. Working in an environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion energizes me. There's nothing quite like witnessing someone's empowerment or seeing them triumph over adversity - it's what drives me in both my personal life and my practice.
