As a hypnotherapist and coach, my mission is to help you navigate the depths of your inner world and create meaningful change from within. You might call the way I work with clients something like ‘evidence-based magic’ – incorporating mindfulness, neuroscience, and techniques like hypnosis and shamanic journey work that are designed to safely and gently alter your state of consciousness so we can explore at a deep level.
My approach with clients is warm, empowering, and integrative: all parts of you, your identity, and your experience are important and welcome here. My clients share that through our work, they are able to access new parts of themselves, learn to listen to the wisdom of their body and spirit, and move forward in life from a place of trust and confidence rather than reacting from old wounds.

Have you ever come out of a therapy session feeling like all you’ve done is talk yourself in circles without getting any deeper? I know I have. As a result, it’s been my mission over many years to find approaches to healing that feel more creative, imaginative, deep, and embodied. I work with sensitive, thoughtful people who are often seekers at heart. Together, we find a path forward, bringing new understanding and self-compassion to some of life’s hardest moments: anxiety and trauma, chronic illness, relationship challenges, infertility, career transitions and more.
Sessions with me will probably feel different from coaching or therapy you’ve done in the past. Using modalities like hypnosis, shamanic journey work, mindfulness, and more, we’ll do much of our work together in a safe and relaxed trance-like state. We’ll spend time talking, processing, and goal setting, but we’ll also make space for you to close your eyes, relax, and take a deep dive into your inner world.

People often describe me as both gentle and powerful. I was the kid who was precocious, artistic, and incredibly sensitive. As I grew up, the casual cruelty of the world around me felt shocking at times. This drove me to look for answers, for healing, and ultimately for ways to help others: from exploring spirituality beginning at an early age, to academic study of gender and feminism, to holding leadership roles in nonprofits working for human rights and educational equity, and ultimately to supporting others in their own growth and healing.
My path to becoming a hypnotherapist and coach began with my own work to heal from trauma. In my late 20’s I dove deep into Buddhist meditation, which supported me immensely. Over the years, I trained in Buddhist Chaplaincy, sat many months of silent retreat, managed a meditation center, and taught mindfulness to teens and adults. I continue to practice and teach meditation and mindfulness today, and it is an important part of who I am and how I move through the world.
When I began to explore hypnotherapy and shamanic journey work as a complement to meditation, it felt as if a missing piece to my puzzle had been uncovered. My life grew richer and more vibrant. I couldn’t help but try to learn everything I could! It has supported me in navigating my own chronic illness, given me courage during major life transitions, and helped me thrive in my relationships. Today, I get to bring that learning and energy into my work with clients, and I feel incredibly lucky to do so.

I work with adults with a range of needs and motivations for working together. The primary modalities I incorporate into my work are:
Hypnotherapy - including Depth Hypnosis and Integrative Hypnosis
Mindfulness and meditation
Shamanic Journey Work
Parts Work and Internal Conflict Resolution
Positive Psychology-based Coaching
Most modalities I use involve a guided state of relaxation or light trance work so that we can go beyond the busyness and limitations of our talking, analyzing, rational mind and into a deeper space of awareness. The modalities we choose to focus on will be tailored to your unique needs, interests, and comfort. My specializations include:
Anxiety and Trauma: Each one of us deserves to live a happy life with fulfilling relationships and a sense of confidence in ourselves. But so often, there are big roadblocks standing in our way that create a sense of fear, lack of safety, or a mistrust of ourself or the world. I work with clients to find spaces of internal safety, confidence, and ease, as well as to explore, support, and understand the roots of where the anxiety, fear, or pain has come from. This can be deeply supportive for a range of issues – from attachment anxiety in relationships, to fears of public speaking, driving, etc., to recovery from trauma.
Chronic Illness: I work with many clients who are navigating a chronic or life altering illness. I most frequently work with people whose journey includes complex diagnoses such as cancer, Long Covid, CIRS/mold biotoxin illness, POTS, Lyme disease, and more. Too often, we struggle through a life altering illness without the support we need most. Each person is unique: you may want support with anxiety about a new diagnosis or upcoming procedure, help breaking patterns around people pleasing, boundaries, or overworking so you can better care for yourself, or an ally as you rebuild your life in new and supportive ways. I also work with individuals who are reaching the end of their life, supporting the process of making meaning and finding comfort.Spirituality, Journey Work, and Meditation: Spirituality has been integral to my life and my work. Today, I work with clients who are hoping to develop or deepen a spiritual practice like mindfulness or shamanic journey work, questioning the impact of their religious upbringing, healing from trauma or abuse in a spiritual community, or preparing for or integrating a psychedelic experience. In my work with clients exploring spirituality, I draw on my longtime practice as a Buddhist meditation teacher, hypnotherapist, and shamanic counselor. I also have significant experience supporting individuals and communities in the aftermath of harm caused by spiritual teachers and leaders.
Life Changes and Transitions: Our life is filled with important choices and big transitions – whether that is switching careers, navigating infertility or the choice to be parent or be childfree, or exploring new phases and desires in our relationships, family, or work. I support clients in connecting deeply to themselves and their own wisdom, so that whatever new chapter they are embarking on, they can do so with a sense of purpose, power, and strength.

What makes me happiest is living a life that holds space for depth and mystery as well as fun and connection. I’m equally happy on a beautiful hike, attending a meditation retreat, or laughing and performing with my improv team. (Improv has been an enormous gift to my life in the last year– I am totally in awe of the way that it blends vulnerability, mindfulness, and deep listening with free spirited play, joy, and imagination. I will talk your ear off about this if you let me!) My guilty pleasure lately has been reading cozy mystery novels and while I can’t believe I’m admitting this, I have read probably 80-100 in the last few years! I also love cooking for friends, board games, writing, and snowshoeing in the winter. I live with my partner and our ever expanding list of gardening projects.
