  • I welcome all walks of life in my practice—come as you are. Regardless of the specific issues you face, I'm confident that I can assist you. I integrate the wisdom of history's greatest thinkers with contemporary mental health research, offering a therapeutic partnership that is both mentally enriching and emotionally supportive. My aim is for us to develop a practical philosophy of life for you, tailored to aid you in the navigation of your experiences and challenges. I can help you by leading thoughtful and safe dialogues mediated by honesty so as to engender self-reflection in your life. It’s common through life struggles to desire simple and quick answers to our problems. In my practice, I will assist you in providing those answers but more importantly, I will use questions to illuminate a path to your development. My fascination with the human experience, psyche, and the journey of self-development drives my practice. I am genuinely excited about the prospect of collaborating with you on your personal development journey. Every mind is like the ocean. There's surface and depth in all of us.

  • My approach is highly influenced by an in-depth study of and engagement with philosophy in both academic and non-academic settings. In addition, I spent my 20’s devouring classic literature both fiction and non-fiction. I found that a book becomes a classic because it’s preoccupied with the terrestrial miseries and divine glories of the human condition. It’s for this reason that the fundamental question we will set out to answer is, “How can you come to terms with the possibility of sustaining hope and happiness when confronting the darker and bleak moments of life?” My role is to be there right with you when you plunge into the unknown in all of its various forms.

Truth is the curative element in psychotherapy which ends up setting you free not just from our therapeutic sessions but from distress, worry and angst. Through precise and safe dialogue, we can ensure you’re able to discover and or nurture your truth. Our sessions will feel relieving, insightful, potentially challenging and meaningful.

  • I’m the 2nd born son of a mixed-race family with 4 siblings in total. My story began in my early twenties when I read a book by an ancient Greek philosopher about virtue ethics. In my case, philosophy preceded psychotherapy. I have the mind of a philosopher, the heart of a poet, and the conscience of an ethical scientist. Early on, I began wrestling with what it means to be human, and it was through books that gave me a blueprint to follow. I found that all the ancient classical texts were full of the voices of wise men and women of the past: all of which would’ve remained in darkness if it wasn’t for the light of literature. The wisdom of antiquity is available for us today to council.

Although a therapist’s unique life experience informs their practice and approach, it is not what makes them a good therapist. A good therapist is somebody who has first wrestled with their own development, has the sufficient qualifications, and most importantly, is able to adapt their approach to whoever walks through their door, within reason. As your psychotherapist, I may not have all the answers, and even if I did, it would be futile to provide them, for it’s more valuable for you when you discover the answers yourself, but I will be there with you guiding you with the appropriate questions.

  • I live what Aristotle called, “The life of the mind,” or the philosophikos bios (philosophical life). I enjoy reading, thinking, and wrestling with the depths of the human condition. In my free time, if I’m not studying psychotherapy and the latest mental health research, I find myself enjoying the study of old languages like ancient Greek, Old Norse, Gothic, and Latin. I also enjoy reading poetry, long contemplative walks in nature, writing, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.
